To assess the performance of the installed Novaerus test devices.
Novaerus devices were installed in the admission room in the Paediatric Department and in the Clinic of Pulmonology/Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases.
In the admission room in the Paediatric Department, an initial baseline test was conducted to assess the current microbiological purity of the air, which produced a result of 183.46 CFU/m3 of air. Once the Novaerus devices were turned on, running 24 hours a day, it reduced to 104.83 CFU/m3 of air when tested a week later, and then to 72 CFU/m3 of air when tested a month later.
In the Clinic of Pulmonology/Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases, an initial baseline test was conducted to assess the current microbiological purity of the air, which produced a result of 236 CFU/m3 of air. Once the Novaerus devices were turned on, running 24 hours a day, it reduced to 192 CFU/m3 of air when tested a week later.
The results presented indicate that Novaerus devices effectively reduce the number of airborne pathogens, having a positive effect on the epidemiological safety of both patients and hospital staff.
